One of France’s biggest contributions to world of porn, Marilyn Jess was a wholesome beauty that radiated pure wanton desire on screen. Often compared to Shauna Grant, as they both possessed the same kind of radiance on screen, like Shauna, Marilyn was a pure original that took the French adult cinema, much the same way Grant did here in the states.

Marilyn was discovered by a photographer whose camera shop she wandered into with a roll of film, containing risque pictures she & her boyfriend had taken, on their vacation in Greece. The photographer introduced Marilyn to the world of modeling, from there she went on to lingerie shots and after that, she jumped into hardcore. She quickly rose to prominence in France, then throughout Europe as a top tier starlet. Her entrance was well timed as she came onto the scene just as Brigette Lahaie, France’s biggest starlet, was leaving the industry in a well publicized exit.

As her films became very popular in Europe, many saw their way to the states, where they were dubbed in English and released here to wide success. As the 80s got underway, many producers here decided to venture to Europe and take some of America’s biggest names with them on lavish European inspired productions, which would also utilize some of the biggest stars of that continent in an effort to draw more worldly attention and sales for the features. The experiments became hit and miss as some features succeeded and some went unnoticed. The titles starring Marilyn were hits on both sides of the Atlantic, which brought Marilyn  world wide fame.

Marilyn chose to stay mostly in France though and let the producers come to her, which they did. Marilyn made nearly 50 features during her 8 year stay in the industry finishing up with her final performance in ‘Traci, I Love You’, the infamous, only legal film in the career of Traci Lords. The film was a huge success and proved to be the final film for both Lords & Jess, two of the biggest stars porn had ever seen, each in their own respective countries.

After Jess left the world of film, she worked throughout Paris at various peep show parlors, strip clubs and as a high-end escort throughout Europe. She later returned to nude modeling exclusively for the French magazine, Hara-Kiri, then drifted out of the biz for good in 1995.
