Lene Hefner got started in the adult business a little later than most other top tier starlets of her era. She was 28 when she first walked in front of the cameras, but she had a few other things to do before she arrived. One was being an LA Raider cheerleader for a few seasons, that also got her small parts in a couple of Hollywood films, Fright Night & Wired. Her striking looks and terrific body landed her lots of modeling work which lead her to appearing in both Playboy & Penthouse. While at a Playboy fundraiser for AIDS research, she met Amber Lynn, who told her to give her a call if she ever wanted to get into the adult films business. Lene was raised in a strict Southern Baptist household, and wasn’t quite ready to make that jump, but she did appear in an R rated feature directed by porn legend Paul Thomas called 'Killer Looks', a straight to cable erotic thriller, co-starring some of porn’s top ladies. Once again, the idea of doing hardcore caught her attention, and this time, she was ready to jump in. Paul Thomas helped her secure an exclusive contract with Vivid, and thanks to the massive publicity machine there, Lene took off like a comet. Being very selective with her roles, and the limited number of films she appeared in while at Vivid made her a hot commodity indeed from 1993 – 1998, as she turned out 16 features for the label, and was loaned out for one other. In Fact, when it came time for Thomas, to do a hardcore version of 'Killer Looks', he was sure to cast Lene in the lead role, and it paid of BIG, going on to be one of Lene's best selling titles, which was no small feat as her titles were among the best selling in the industry at the time. When her contract was up she decided to call it quits and settle down with her husband, and fellow porn star, Devin Wolf. However, after a couple of years, and being disowned by her family when she told them what she had been doing for the last 5 years to earn a living, Lene came back to the world of erotica and did a couple more features for the Sin City label before quiting her work in front of the cameras, though she continued to run a fan club for a while and danced on the circuit to cash in on her fame. Soon after though she walked away from it altogether. She left behind a lot of fans wanting much more of her. Is it any wonder her popularity has endured? |
